Agriculture and Rural life
Chaplaincy in the Rural Economy is headed up by Revd. Robert Barlow, Diocese of Worcester Chaplain for Agriculture and Rural Life and a member of the Faith at Work in Worcestershire chaplaincy team.
With a number of Associate Chaplains regular visits are made to the Worcester Livestock Market, local farmers and the Young Farmers organisation.
With a wide range of contacts across the rural economy, including the NFU, DEFRA and the Three Counties Association, the Rural Life team engages widely on many issues facing rural workers and community. This includes the development of a local branch of the Farm Crisis Network (FCN) which offers one to one support and a crisis helpline to farmers and related workers.
